Henare stood up once again this campaign, showing real leadership when it counted most. In a tough, physical battle against Counties, he kept calm under pressure and led from the front with purpose.
He carried strongly and guided the back line with composure and confidence. Another standout performance from Henare – setting the tone for his teammates and proving once again why he’s so respected.
Ashton had a massive influence on the game, particularly at lineout time, where he was a standout. Time and again, he rose above the opposition to secure clean ball for his team, giving the backs the perfect platform to launch from. Just as importantly, he turned the screws on the opposition’s throw, constantly applying pressure and disrupting their rhythm.
Across the full 70 minutes he worked tirelessly – chasing hard, hitting rucks, and making his presence felt in every contest. He never backed down from the physical battle and showed real consistency in both effort and execution.
Ryan proved yet again why he’s so dependable, nailing his lineout throws and giving his team the base to build pressure and dominate territory.
He worked hard all game – tackling, carrying, and bringing real determination to every play. A real highlight came in a long-range rolling maul, where Ryan not only steered it with control and power but also finished it off with a well-deserved try. A tireless effort from a hooker who continues to set the standard.
