Northland Rugby Welcomes Brooke Foster as Community Support and Engagement Manager

Brooke Foster Joins Team
Northland Rugby is proud to announce the appointment of Brooke Foster as our new Community Support and Engagement Manager.

Brooke is no stranger to the Northland Rugby environment, having completed a successful internship with us during the 2024 season. Throughout her time as an intern, Brooke made a lasting impact supporting the Bunnings NPC and Farah Palmer Cup campaigns, while also contributing to our rep rugby engagement and communications.

Her dedication, work ethic, and natural ability to connect with people shone through — and we’re thrilled to now welcome her into a full-time role within our community team.

A passionate rugby supporter and proud Northlander, Brooke brings fresh energy and a deep understanding of what makes community rugby thrive.

“I’m truly excited and grateful to step into the role of Community Support and Engagement Manager and to work alongside such passionate people,” Brooke says. “For me, it’s all about our Northland community — celebrating the heart and soul of our rugby community both on and off the field. I’m looking forward to creating meaningful connections, showcasing the passion within Northland clubs, and making sure our community is supported, and proud to be part of something bigger.”

Brooke is currently in the final year of her Bachelor’s degree in Sport, Recreation, and Exercise, and her transition from intern to full-time staff member is a reflection of the hard mahi she has already put in at Northland Rugby.

Josh Hyde, Operations Manager at Northland Rugby, says Brooke’s appointment is a welcome addition to the team:

“We are really excited to have Brooke joining the Operations team here at Northland Rugby. Brooke brings an energy that club rugby needs with a drive to innovate and build efficient systems. She spent time within Game Day Operations as part of the community team in 2024, and Operations reached out to her at the start of 2025 to come on board. She is a perfect fit for this role and we’re excited to have her on board.”

Brooke will play a key role in supporting our grassroots clubs, connecting with volunteers and players, and driving engagement across the region.

Welcome to the team, Brooke — we’re lucky to have you!
