A Season of Big Clashes
The Kauri will kick off their season on August 9th with an away game against Taranaki Whio, setting the stage for a high-energy opener. Fans will be eager to see how the team performs against a side we haven’t faced since 2023.
The action returns home on August 16th, when Northland hosts the Tasman Mako at Semenoff Stadium, Whangārei. This fixture is bound to be a crowd-pleaser, as our team looks to defend home turf and establish dominance early in the competition.
A key away clash follows on August 24th, with Northland traveling to Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin to take on Otago. Playing under the stadium roof presents a unique challenge, but one that our squad will be well-prepared for.
Then, on August 29th, we head to Albany for a showdown against North Harbour. These encounters always bring a competitive edge, and this one will be no different as we battle for bragging rights against a well-matched opponent.
Bringing Rugby to the Community
One of the most exciting aspects of this year’s draw is our September 6th fixture against Wellington, which will be hosted at Kaikohe Rugby Club. Each year, we take one of our home games to a grassroots Northland club to celebrate community rugby, and this time, Kaikohe will be the proud host. These club games are a highlight of the season, bringing top-level rugby to passionate local supporters and inspiring the next generation of players.
