CLUB RUGBY UPDATE FROM NRU CEO

Print

Kia ora,

I do not need to tell you that these are uniquely challenging times for us all, and the rate of change is something we have never experienced before. Throughout all of this, nothing is more important than the health of our Rugby Community and their Whanau. With this in mind we provide the following update:

* The current 2nd May commencement for Senior and Under 18  competitions is no longer valid

* We will provide an update on timeframes as soon as we are in a position to do so

* We are committed to keeping you informed and leading on this issue

* When timeframes are known, we will advise competition formats. These will be agreed in conjunction with NJC and CoU

* We want all Rugby in Northland to go ahead, but it will be dependent on a clearance from Ministry of Health

* We need a consistent approach and adherence to this right across Northland

* Stay healthy and fit within the Isolation guidelines that have been specified

* Enforce the isolation requirements with those around you. When we all do that, give our community the best shot at good health and the opportunity for Isolation to end sooner than otherwise

* Please keep registering if you want to play

We are here first and foremost for our great game of rugby and grassroots rugby is the heart of our game.

Kia rewa, kia runga te Taniwha!

Nga mihi

Cameron Bell

Chief Executive Officer
