We are delighted to announce the appointment of Assistant Coach Marty Veale as part of the Semco Northland NPC Team in 2022.

Having debuted for the Taniwha in 2008 alongside ten other players including Jared Payne, Derek Carpenter and Roy Griffin and returning in 2011 Marty played 15 games in all for the Province before transitioning into coaching.

Working alongside Head Coach George Konia and Assistant Coach Graham Dewes, Marty will lead the team defence portfolio for the upcoming Bunnings Warehouse NPC which starts with a round one fixture against Taranaki at Pukekura Park on the 7th August.

Marty is currently the Head Coach of Rugby New York in the MLR and has just won the final 30-15 over the Seattle Seawolves.
