Athletic Performance Coaching Internship 

The Northland Rugby Union is now accepting suitable candidates for the position of Athletic Performance intern for the season of 2024 (July – November). This position is designed for a recent graduate or someone aspiring to work in high performance rugby. Successful candidates will work through a curriculum to give them the tools and skills to work successfully in a fully integrated high performance program. In addition, the successful candidate will be given exposure to NPC, FPC and Academy programs with hands on opportunities. This position is based in Whangarei, New Zealand.  

Applications need to be received by EOD 24th May 2024 and should include a CV, cover letter and three professional references in PDF format to James Doyle, Head of Athletic Performance at james.d@northlandrugby.co.nz.

NPC Assistant Coach - Set Piece

The Northland Rugby Union are seeking expressions of interest for the NPC Assistant Coach (Set Piece - Scrum & Lineout) within the Semco Northland Taniwha management that competes in the Bunnings Cup.

This position is responsible for assisting the NPC Head Coach in the planning and coaching of successful and sustainable NPC team campaign. 

This includes, but is not limited to leading the coaching of Set Piece (scrum and lineout). The key measurable is the development and sustainability of a high performing team and culture. 

This position will be working with professional players and therefore significant experience working at professional level (NPC and above) is preferred.
